Does anyone know any good mail order companies where I can get Anime DVD's from?

I have the United Publications catalogue but I need an American dvd compatable dvd player in order for me to be able to order from U.P.

So does anyone know a good company where I can order discs that will play on a normal British dvd player?

Thank you!

I used to have an Action Replay 2 V2 disc for my PS2 which allowed me to play any region of dvd but it stopped working and conked out. So I went and exchanged it for another one and the same thing happened about a month down the line. But I may get another one to see if it allows me to play American discs, but if a multi region dvd player doesnt cost too much I may just go full stint and get one.
So do you think its worth going and getting another dvd player?

I concur that the UK is years behind on the anime scene. If you want a decent list of top titles past and present you'll do yourself no ill getting a multi-region dvd player.

Try--- http://www.mvm-uk.co.uk/
Or--- http://www.otaku.co.uk/

However, if you're serious about getting into anime then i'd highly advise you to get an all region dvd player, as 90% of the decent anime films/series are not released in the UK on dvd, so you have to import it from the US.

Since i've had my all region player (about 3 years now) i've bought some truly brilliant anime films and tv shows that haven't seen the light of day over here.

Also, there's a new anime film called 'Metropolis' that's just been released here, and I recommend it.
