Spider-Nan
The game sees you playing as Peter Parker's grandmother, Patsy Parker, who was also bitten by a radioactive spider as a young girl (back in the 1700's then?) and was blessed with arachnid-like abilities. The game will be released on Nintnedo Gamecube and X-Box, PS2 and GBA versions will be released later in the year.
Spider-Nan's moves:
Spider-Nan possesses all of Peter Parker's superpowers (wallcrawling, superhuman strength, speed and agility and Spider Sense) along with unique powers of her own...
- Swinging around -
Whereas Peter had a scientific mind and was able to conjure up his pair of webshooters, Patsy is an old lady therefore lacks the knowledge to work a TV remote, let along build webshooting weapons... so Spider-Nan uses her handbag to swing around the skyscrapers.
- Attacking enemies -
As stated above, Spider-Nan lacks the webshooters possessed by her grandson, so she therefore hides a brick inside her handbag and swings it into enemies' faces, knocking out teeth and inducing black eyes aplenty.
- Attacking enemies (again) -
Along with her trusty handbag, Spider-Nan can disable enemies with her OAP trademark... smelling of urine. When her Spider Sense tells her that an enemy is looming too close for comfort, she lifts up her skirt and unleashes an overpowering stench that can stun any normal man within a 10 metre radius.
- Attacking enemies (sigh, again) -
Spider-Nan's other form of attack comes from sweets. While Spider-Nan (just like any other nan) hands out sweets to her grandchildren and the local young riff-raff, she also can also unleash them as high velocity projectiles through her hands.
- Reaching high places -
Just like her spider-powered grandson, Spider-Nan can adhere to any surface with her hands and feet... but she can travel up staircases far faster by using her backside, which can adhere to wooden bannisters and acts like a turbo-powered stairlift.
Spider-Nan's storyline:
- New York City, midnight -
"Sure is quiet tonight," Spider-Nan thought to herself, as she swung gracefully across the rooftops of New York. "But after that awesome battle with the Pension Pincher last week, I'm sure glad of the peace."
Suddenly, Spider-Nan heard a commotion down below. Glancing down at the city streets, she spotted an almighty explosion!
"It came from the NY Technology Labs!" Spider-Nan swung into action and found herself facing five masked goons who were trying to make off with the Lab's experimental time machine.
"Oh no, you don't!" Spider-Nan exclaimed, and using her extraordinary strength, she hurled five sweet projectiles which struck the villians with a brutal force!
"Holy -!" shouted one of the men, but he was interrupted by the flash of light as a sweet stuck the side of the time machine. An immense explosion filled the entire building and Spider-Nan was knocked unconscious.
Spider-Nan wakes up in a strange place. The men are gone, and there is a note on a nearby wall.
"Spider-Nan, if you want to see your beloved city in one piece, you'll find a way to stop my sinister plan. Signed, the Pension Pincher"
What follows next is an action-packed epic, filled to the brim with twists and turns, and some damn powerful supervillians, as Spider-Nan tries to figure out where she is and who is behind the technology hesit.
Spider-Nan theme song:
(obviously sung to the tune of "Spider-Man")
Spider-Nan, Spider-Nan,
Does whatever a pensioner can.
Swings her bag, with its' brick.
Hands out sweets and smells of p**s.
Look out! Here comes the Spider-Nan.
Is she strong? Listen creeps,
She hurls radioactive sweets.
She can swing from a bag.
She's no ordinary hag.
Look out! Here comes the Spider-Nan.
In the chill of night, at a post office queue,
Like a stream of light, she pushes her way through.
Spider-Nan, Spider-Nan,
Friendly neighbourhood Spider-Nan.
By her kids, she's ignored.
Newspaper puzzles are her reward.
To her, life is a great big motherly shame,
Wherever there's a bowls game,
You'll find the Spider-Nan!
Look out for Spider-Nan on Nintendo Gamecube, in stores soon.
:D

God damnit! The best post I come up with in ages and someone else has already won a Gameaday with a near-identical post?!
Curse you all!
:D
Nice song though.
