I decided to do a funny take on the film Rat Race. The major difference is that it includes Nintendo characters. You should understand it if you've seen it.

The Ice Climbers are the husband and wife

Link and Zelda are the yound couple
And DK is Cuba Goodling Jr.

Scene 1: Inside Mr. Miyamoto's casino. The start of the race. Each of the six groups have found a star hidden in a pizza and have been told they are a lucky winner. They go inside a room painted red.
Mario: What are we a doing here?
Luigi: Mmmph mmmph mmp mmh
Mario: Free pizza Luigi?
Luigi: Mmph
Mario: Lets eat!
DK: Hey! I'm Donkey Kong.
Wario: Wario. Say that's a nice a pair of jeans a you are wearing. And look at those a socks a.
DK: Thanks? I'm just gonna mingle with others now. (Walks backwards slowly)
DK: Hey! I'm Donkey Kong.
Link: I'm Link. What's goin' on man.
DK: I have no idea.
Link: It's all stupid if you ask me.
DK: Most probably.
Link: I'm goin'
Mr. Miyamoto: I don't think so Link.
Link: How do you know my name?
Mr. Miyamoto: In this room there are no secrets. I know you Link are afraid of pies. Especially chicken.
Link: That's a lie. (Sees pie on desk and moves a little more away.)
Wario: He's a God.
Mr. Miyamoto: Yeah right... Or it's the fact that I have it all here on a piece of paper, but I wouldn't believe anything I say.
Peach: Why are we here?
Mr. Miyamoto: You are all here to compete in a race.
Mario: What type of race?
Mr.Miyamoto: The type of race that entertains us.. I mean me.. I mean you? Whatever. You will all race to Thorpe Park in the UK.
Ice Climber Blue: But we're in Canada.
Mr. Miyamoto: So.
DK: Why the hell do we have to do it?
Mr. Miyamoto: Because there's...
Link: ...A million dollars in it for the first person to get there. Yeah right.
Mr. Miyamoto: 5 actually.
Luigi: mmph mmmph
Mr.Miyamoto: Yes 5 million dollars. And all you need to get it are these keys. (Hands out six keys.)
DK: Bull!
Mr. Miyamoto: No it's chicken on the pizza DK. And the race begins now.
DK: What
Luigi: Mphh
Mario: Huh!
Wario: It's a race!
Mr. Miyamoto: (Pulls out shotgun.) I said the race begins now.
Scene 2: Outside Room painted red. The group talk.
Mario: This is trash. No one gives away 5 million for nothing.
Samus: Yeah! Lets go Peach. (Walk out of corridor.)
DK: I guess I better go too. (Walks backwards towards stairs.)
Mario: Come on bro, lets go too. (Walks away with Luigi.)
(Mario and Luigi runs back in and hits Wario, Ice Climber Blue and Link round the head with a chair, then run off.)
Scene 3: Outside casino.
Mario: Come on man hurry up. Ah here's a good a car. Come on lets steal it.
Peach: Taxi!
(Taxi pulls up.)
Samus: To the airport.
(Taxi drives off without them.)
Peach: We really should get inside the car before we state the destination.
DK: Ice cream man!
(Ice cream truck pulls over.)
DK: 1 Calypso.
(Pays the man.)
DK: What was I doin' again. Oh well, I'm hungry.
(Looks like he's out of the race.)
Scene 4: Ice Climber Blue wakes up after being knocked out and heads over to his wife's room.
Ice Climber Blue: Baby we're going to the UK.
Ice Climber Pink: But we don't have the money.
Ice Climber Blue: We will do soon.
Ice Climber Pink: Okay then, but we better have a romantic time there and not just a gambling moment again.
Ice Climber Blue; We won't dear, now hurry up.
Scene 5: Mario and Luigi drive along trying to get to the airport as fast as possible.
Luigi: Mmmphh mmphh.
Mario: 800 miles a left man.
Luigi: Mmmmmpph mmmpphhhh mmmpppphhhh mmmmppphhhh.
Mario: Yeah right. Like we can a steal a pizza right now, we have to get to Thorpe a Park now.
Luigi: Mph.
Mario: I can't believe you swallowed your a own sock a. When did the doctor say you'd a get a your voice back?
Luigi: Mmmpphh.
Mario: A week a.
(Luigi looks at road sign.)
Luigi: Mmmphhhh mmmpppphhh
Mario: We have no time to go to a haunted manision.
Luigi: Mmmpphh...
Mario: ...No
Scene 6: Inside a taxi Samus and Peach are waiting to arrive.
Peach: Hurry up driver.
Kirby (Driver): I only have two tiny arms and they don't even have fingers or hands. I need to sit on books to reach the wheel for cryin' out loud.
Samus: Where are we?
(Kirby pulls over his taxi with Peach and Samus inside.)
(Bowser waddles up to the taxi as Kirby winds the window down)
Bowser: Hello what can I do for you today?
Kirby: I got lost, do you know the shortest way to Thorpe Park.
Bowser: Short, that’s funny.
(Bowser looks at the books Kirby is sitting on)
Kirby: what do you mean?
Bowser: Would you be interested in buying a Pikmin by any chance?
(Bowser holds up a caged Pikmin while Samus winds her window down)
Samus: Looks a bit purple to me.
Peach: And a bit dangerous.
Kirby: Is it meant to foam at the mouth like that?
Bowser: Err… yeas it’s doing that because…. It has no owner yet and is upset.
Kirby: Do you know the directions or not!
Bowser: Do you want to buy him!
Kirby: Directions!
Bowser: Buy!
Kirby: Directions!
Bowser: OK!
Kirby: Dir! … Ok which way do I have to go?
Bowser: You see that mountain in the distance; you see the jagged spiky section just above the frozen bodies.
Kirby: Yeah
Bowser: Drive just above that and it should be signposted from there.
Kirby: Thanks for the help
(Kirby Drives off)
Bowser (to himself): Do you know who I am? No one passes me without buying a Pikmin. Muhahahahahaha hahaha hahahahaha haha ha!!!
(Bowser get’s on Yoshi and hurries to beat Kirby to the mountain.)
Yoshi: Lose some weight fatty, you’re breaking my back.
Bowser: Shut up and start running or I’ll feed you some of those eggs you’re making all the time, the ones that come from you know where!
Yoshi: Ok ok, let’s a go!
(On the mountain Bowser hides in the bushes and waits for his prey. Kirby drives along the road)
Kirby: We're nearly there.
(Suddenly Bowser jumps out... but is run over by the car. Perhaps you should try a different approach Bowser. Anyway Kirby heads finds a sign leading to the airport.)
Scene 7: On street and DK finally realises what he was doing.
DK: Oh! Flying monkeys I remember now.
(Pikes Diddy Kongs go-kart. But then sees a car. He uses that instead.)
Scene 8: Driving in their car the ice-climbers pick up a hitch-hiker.
Ness: Are we there yet?
Ice Climber Blue: No
Ness: Are we there yet?
Ice Climber blue: No
Ness: Are we there yet?
Ice Climber Blue: No. In fact get out of my car.
Ness: No!
(Pulls over and throws him out)
Ness: You suck at driving anyway!
(Ice Climbers drive on)
Scene 9: Wario suddenly comes to and rushes off.
Wario: It's a race, it's a race, it's a race, it's a...zzzzzzzzzz
(Wario falls asleep due to his narcoleptia.)
Scene 10: Mario Brothers arrive at airport
Mario: We're here. Come on!
(Runs inside and then to front desk)
Mario: Two tickets to UK. Towards the South.
Ganondorf: Sorry no more tickets left. Now get lost.
Luigi: Mmmmppphhhh mmmppphhhh.
Mario No we're not a giving up a. I have a cunning plan a. So cunning that even a cunning man a could never possibly...
Luigi: Mmmmppphhhh!
Mario: Don't tell me a to shut up a. Never talk to your brother like a that a. Remember what happened to a our cousin?
Scene 11: Peach and Samus arrive at the airport.
(Running out of car.)
Peach: Good thing we have a private plane.
Samus: Yeah! Now hurry up!
(Sort out departure etc...)
Scene 12: On runway. The time is 8:00pm and it is dark. Luigi and Mario proceed with their plan.
Mario: Come on a man abefore anyone a sees us.
Luigi:Mmmmmppphhhh.
(Luigi breaks one of the bulbs on the track.)
Mario: Now run a.
(They grab car and head for the harbour.)
Scene 13: Inside air tower. Everything is not well due to one lousy bulb.
Yoshi: We cannot continue any more flights. One light on the runway has been broken.
Pilot: Then just change it.
Yoshi: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
Because of this Samus, Peach, DK and the ice-climbers all head for the harbour too.
Scene 14: At the harbour. Mario and Luigi are 2 hours ahead of everyone else.
(Grabbing a boat they jump in.)
Mario: Is water supposed to be a leaking through a hole a in the middle.
Boat hirer: Ummmm... Yes?
Luigi: Mmmmmppphhhh mmmpphhh mmphh
Mario: You're right we need a to hurry.
(They float along the water surface for at least 1 minute then begin to sink.)
Mario: Don't worry a bro my trusty cape will help us.
Luigi: Mpphh mmmmpphhh mmmmpphh mmpphh mmphhh mmmmmpphhh.
Mario: No I' m not a gonna fly us outta here a. I'm just gonna stick it a in the hole a.
Scene 15: Link wakes up. Realising what happened he runs outside and meets Zelda.
Link: Hello did you see two plumbers, a space girl, a princess, two ice-climbers, a crazy fat yellow guy and a gorilla go by did you?
Zelda: Are you okay?
Link: Yes I am. I just need to get to the UK.
Zelda: Well I have a helicopter. I'd be happy to give you a lift if you need one.
Link: No I'm okay.
Zelda: Really?
Link: I mean yes please.
Zelda: Well it's just round the back of the casino.
(The two go off round the back and set off.)
Scene 16: Ice Climbers are arriving at the harbour and find a ship ready to leave.
(They drive up to the car park but meet Samus and Peach. They read a sign. It reads "Only two seats available.")
Samus: It's ours.
Ice Climber Blue: No way!
(As if in slow motion... which it is, they run for the entrance. Samus leads followed by Peach.)
DK: It's mine
(Banana peels are layed along the floor and all four fall in a comical fashion.)
DK: Two please.
Falco: But there's only two of you.
DK: Shut up and give me them.
(DK gets on leaving the four behind. They all run for the nearest rusty boat and set sail.)
Scene 17: Wario wakes up yet again and runs out of the building.
Wario: It's a race, it's a race, it's a race... zzzzzzzzzzz
(Doh!)
Scene 18: In the UK, only 100 miles away from Thorpe Park. DK arrives. But he has no car.
DK: Mmmm, this car will do.
(Breaks into a car and finds an old lady)
DK: Get out old hag.
Old Lady: Make me chicken suit.
DK: What did you call me? I'm gonna kill you.
(The car shakes and rattles and eventually DK goes flying out the window and into another car.)
DK: Perfect!
(Drives off.)
Scene 19: 20 minutes later Mario and Luigi arrive.
Luigi: Mmmpphhh
Mario: Coming a man.
(They grab a coach chucking out the driver.)
Dr. Mario: I'll sue you!
Mario: Say he looks kinda familiar. No couldn't be.
Scene 20: 1 hour after that Samus, Peach and the Ice Climbers arrive. Ice Climbers freeze Samus and Peach.
Ice Climber Pink: Why are we in such a hurry?
Ice Climber Blue: Ummm... in the UK if you arrive... second you are... shot in... the head.
Ice Climber Pink: Oh.
(They hire a car and drive on.)
DK is only 30 miles away and closely followed by the Mario Brothers at 45 miles. Then after is Ice Climbers with 85 miles left. Peach and Samus are still frozen and Wario is still asleep. But Link and Zelda are flying high and only 90 miles away. It's close folks.
Scene 21: Finally Samus and Peach thaw out and look in search for a car. Suddenly Captain Falcon drives up in his 800 mile an hour car.
Captain Falcon: Need a lift girls.
Peach: Yep we do.
Samus: To Thorpe Park
(Falcon drives off without them.)
Peach: Must you always do that?
Scene 22: DK is only 10 miles away but is pulled over by a cop.
DK: I wasn't speeding officer. Honest.
Officer: Wait... wait one minute. You're the guy who couldn't flip that coin in the american football match.
DK: Hey! ou try to flip a coin when you're a gorilla.
Officer: I'm afraid I'm going to have to take you in.
(DK enters the police car and they drive to the station 5 miles in the opposite direction.)
Scene 23: Link explains the race to Zelda and she agrees to help. Link and Zelda crash into an old lady's house. They get out and then steal her car!
Link: We shouldn't have done that.
Zelda: Doesn't matter, she was dead anyway.
Link: What?
Zelda: Just kidding.
Link: How far left.
Zelda: Only 20 miles to go.
Scene 24: Samus and Peach wait for Falcon to come back. Suddenly he does luckily.
Captain falcon: Where were you?
Peach: Shut up and let us drive.
Captain Falcon: Well you don't know how to...
(Samus throws him out and they drive off.)
Scene 25: Mario and Luigi are on their way.
Luigi: Mmmmppph mmmhhppp mmhhppp
Mario: 19 miles left. We're gonna win a.
Luigi: Mmmppph mmhhpp mmmhhpp.
Scene 26: Ice Climbers are not far too.
Ice Climber Pink: How far left?
Ice Climber Blue: Only 22 miles to go dear.
Scene 27: DK is fibally let free and must now start going again.
DK: Mmm... Only 16 miles to go now.
Scene 28: Wario still asleep is woken by a strange little spaceman called Olimar.
Captain Olimar: Here take my teleporter.
(Wow how convienient.)
Wario: Gee thanks.
(Suddenly he disappears.)
Scene 29: The Mario Brothers, Samus and Peach, Link and Zelda, DK and the Ice Climbers all arrive at the entrance. A fox walks up to them and says. Go to the toilets.
Mario: Do you wanna make out with us?
Fox: No the money's in there you idiot.
All: Ohhhh!
(All stand and wait. They wait for 10 minutes.)
Samus: It's mine.
DK: No mine.
(They all rush to get to the toilets, but Fox walks towards his Ferrari carrying red bag with hundred dollar bills hanging out. Ha ha ha.)
Final Scene: All rush inside the toilets and see Wario asleep with his head in the toilet.
Mario: What's a goin' on a?
Guy: I was goin' a number two when all of a sudden whoosh, out comes a fat yellow guy. After that I got up and he fell asleep with his head in the toilet. Nasty!
Peach: There's the bag.
(All crash against each other and try to get the key into the lock of the bag. They figfht and fight and fight until finally Mario gets his key in.)
Mario: Whoooho!
Luigi: Mmmppphh!
(He opens the bag. It's empty.)
Mario: Where the hell?
(Mmmm, I wonder where the money could be? All is silent except the screech of tyres as Fox drives off into the distance.

(They drive up to the car park but meet Samus and Peach. They read a sign. It reads "Only two seats available.")
Samus: It's ours.
Ice Climber Blue: No way!
(As if in slow motion... which it is, they run for the entrance. Samus leads followed by Peach.)
DK: It's mine
(Banana peels are layed along the floor and all four fall in a comical fashion.)
DK: Two please.
Falco: But there's only two of you.
DK: Shut up and give me them.
(DK gets on leaving the four behind. They all run for the nearest rusty boat and set sail.)
Scene 17: Wario wakes up yet again and runs out of the building.
Wario: It's a race, it's a race, it's a race... zzzzzzzzzzz
(Doh!)
Scene 18: In the UK, only 100 miles away from Thorpe Park. DK arrives. But he has no car.
DK: Mmmm, this car will do.
(Breaks into a car and finds an old lady)
DK: Get out old hag.
Old Lady: Make me chicken suit.
DK: What did you call me? I'm gonna kill you.
(The car shakes and rattles and eventually DK goes flying out the window and into another car.)
DK: Perfect!
(Drives off.)
Scene 19: 20 minutes later Mario and Luigi arrive.
Luigi: Mmmpphhh
Mario: Coming a man.
(They grab a coach chucking out the driver.)
Dr. Mario: I'll sue you!
Mario: Say he looks kinda familiar. No couldn't be.
Scene 20: 1 hour after that Samus, Peach and the Ice Climbers arrive. Ice Climbers freeze Samus and Peach.
Ice Climber Pink: Why are we in such a hurry?
Ice Climber Blue: Ummm... in the UK if you arrive... second you are... shot in... the head.
Ice Climber Pink: Oh.
(They hire a car and drive on.)
DK is only 30 miles away and closely followed by the Mario Brothers at 45 miles. Then after is Ice Climbers with 85 miles left. Peach and Samus are still frozen and Wario is still asleep. But Link and Zelda are flying high and only 90 miles away. It's close folks.
Scene 21: Finally Samus and Peach thaw out and look in search for a car. Suddenly Captain Falcon drives up in his 800 mile an hour car.
Captain Falcon: Need a lift girls.
Peach: Yep we do.
Samus: To Thorpe Park
(Falcon drives off without them.)
Peach: Must you always do that?
Scene 22: DK is only 10 miles away but is pulled over by a cop.
DK: I wasn't speeding officer. Honest.
Officer: Wait... wait one minute. You're the guy who couldn't flip that coin in the american football match.
DK: Hey! ou try to flip a coin when you're a gorilla.
Officer: I'm afraid I'm going to have to take you in.
(DK enters the police car and they drive to the station 5 miles in the opposite direction.)
Scene 23: Link explains the race to Zelda and she agrees to help. Link and Zelda crash into an old lady's house. They get out and then steal her car!
Link: We shouldn't have done that.
Zelda: Doesn't matter, she was dead anyway.
Link: What?
Zelda: Just kidding.
Link: How far left.
Zelda: Only 20 miles to go.
Scene 24: Samus and Peach wait for Falcon to come back. Suddenly he does luckily.
Captain falcon: Where were you?
Peach: Shut up and let us drive.
Captain Falcon: Well you don't know how to...
(Samus throws him out and they drive off.)
Scene 25: Mario and Luigi are on their way.
Luigi: Mmmmppph mmmhhppp mmhhppp
Mario: 19 miles left. We're gonna win a.
Luigi: Mmmppph mmhhpp mmmhhpp.
Scene 26: Ice Climbers are not far too.
Ice Climber Pink: How far left?
Ice Climber Blue: Only 22 miles to go dear.
Scene 27: DK is fibally let free and must now start going again.
DK: Mmm... Only 16 miles to go now.
Scene 28: Wario still asleep is woken by a strange little spaceman called Olimar.
Captain Olimar: Here take my teleporter.
(Wow how convienient.)
Wario: Gee thanks.
(Suddenly he disappears.)
Scene 29: The Mario Brothers, Samus and Peach, Link and Zelda, DK and the Ice Climbers all arrive at the entrance. A fox walks up to them and says. Go to the toilets.
Mario: Do you wanna make out with us?
Fox: No the money's in there you idiot.
All: Ohhhh!
(All stand and wait. They wait for 10 minutes.)
Samus: It's mine.
DK: No mine.
(They all rush to get to the toilets, but Fox walks towards his Ferrari carrying red bag with hundred dollar bills hanging out. Ha ha ha.)
Final Scene: All rush inside the toilets and see Wario asleep with his head in the toilet.
Mario: What's a goin' on a?
Guy: I was goin' a number two when all of a sudden whoosh, out comes a fat yellow guy. After that I got up and he fell asleep with his head in the toilet. Nasty!
Peach: There's the bag.
(All crash against each other and try to get the key into the lock of the bag. They figfht and fight and fight until finally Mario gets his key in.)
Mario: Whoooho!
Luigi: Mmmppphh!
(He opens the bag. It's empty.)
Mario: Where the hell?
(Mmmm, I wonder where the money could be? All is silent except the screech of tyres as Fox drives off into the distance.
