I really want to learn php but I am having problems getting Apache to work on my system. I have installed it and set it up correctly but I am having probs as I can't view php files.

Can anyone identify with this? Is there an easier server setup to use as I don't really want to have to upload files to test them.

You're right, I didn't install it and rushed ahead without reading the documentation properly!

Sounds like you havn't installed PHP into Apache.
http://www.php.net/downloads.php
is the url to download it from, install it into Apache and then you can view your files, you can do the same with MySql too.
