Man on the moon - £3.99
and The Hurricane - £4.99
Plus in another shop (not in a sale) I got Tommy Boy -£5.99
3 video's I have been wanting, all at low prices.
What are peoples opinions of any of them?

Malcolm X was on one of the movie channels today, I was going to watch it but it was about half way in when I turned it on.
and I was smug.

As opposed to...?
I got One Flew Over The Cuckoo Nest really cheap from Virgin at the weekend, and I was smug.
The Hurricane is about the boxer Ruban 'Hurricane' Carter and how his life has been full of racism since he was a child. It's mainly about how he was framed for murder and received three life sentances, and his fight for freedom. It's a really good film that you should all check out.
I can't be botherd to go on about the other two in detail...So Man on the moon is a Jim Carrey movie about an entertainer (I forget his name, but it's based on a real person) who broke all the rules of showbiz. Tommy boy
is a Chris Farlley and David Spade movie about a real party guy who has to take over his family business.
Bargains are cool though. I got Goodfellas and the Devils Advocate on DVD for £3.99 brand new, I think that's the best deal I've got.

You still buy videos?
*puzzled look*
Anyway, I haven't seen any of those films, only bits from when they've been on TV
What is great about the British public is they enjoy poo films, and as a result the DVD sales at almost all of the shops at the moment are filled with great films at silly prices. I've been buying loads of films.
Anyway I got Carlito's Way with Goodfellas in a two for one deal, I think. And it was good value :-)
I also got Buffalo

I remember looking for Carlito's Way for about 2 years. I was only about 6 or 7 when I first saw the beginning of it. It was after Match of the Day I think and I watched the opening scene (the black and white bit). When Al Pacino came up on the screen I thought it must have been really old since I thought Pacino was a really old actor, who died a long time ago. Anyway, I went to bed and the following night I saw my dad watching it. I asked if I could watch it and he said no (with me being about 6 and all). He recorded over it once he had watched it. Then, about 4 years later, when I really got into Pacino films I wanted to see it. However, I could not find it anywhere. Then, when in Rochester one year (probably 2 years after I first starting looking for the video) I found it for 5.99 in a shop. I was unbelievably happy and got my dad to buy it (since there was no way on earth I was going to pass for 18 at that time). I remember coming back with 12 videos that day. Never come close to that since except on one occassion when I bought 11 videos and 1 DVD on the same day. Anyway, I watched it and loved it. And I still love it.
That's it. Just a piece of my history for you. :-D
I'm going through a backlog of Mafia movies I've accumulated and not yet watched; Goodfellas, Mean Streets, (then Taxi Driver), then the Godfather Trilogy and finally Carlito's Way.
But I'm watching the Princess Bride at the moment which was only £3.99 in Tower Records. And it funning rules. I also got Buffalo 66 for £3.99 and I've been trying to find that for ages. Having not found a single copy for about a year, 20 suddenly turned up in Tower Records all at once... weird.
