Why would you want to prevent the Shutdown option from appearing on the Start Menu?

If you did, it'd be much easier to use poledit...

Speaking of the registry, try this trick:

Start > Run > regedit

HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ Explorer

Right click in the right part. New > String value. Rename it NoClose, right click that and modify. Enter 1.

I'll just download a program that can clean it for me...

There must be something out there!

Spyware was a bit of a problem for me, kept crashing my computer but got rid of it all now!

If you're not experienced with the registry, read a guide or something, and make sure you back it up first - you can destroy your whole computer using the registry....very easily....

Brilliant! As usual the careful and intuitive production that Freeola puts into everything it sets out to do. I am delighted.
Wonderful...
... and so easy-to-use even for a technophobe like me. I had my website up in a couple of hours. Thank you.
