A game also needs a good amount of options.I don't mean like changing the sound or anything like that but being able to make different choices on what to do.A good example is Sonic Adventure 2, you can choose whether to become good or evil.
Graphics play a big part in making a good game but that normally relys on the console.Having a good game with bad graphics can really wreck it, although the Nintendo 64 doesn't have very good graphics but was still good fun!
