Did anyone else notice that in the booklet acompanying the Sonic Adventure 2 10th birthday pack, the timeline conveniently glossed over the release of the the Master System Sonic games in Europe? Of course, they were mentioned, but only as released in South America. This makes me a little suspicious. I think Sonic Team did this intentionally so as not to risk angering their new found friends at Nintendo. They didn't want to offend them by reminding them of the NES's failure at the hands of the Master System in Europe. This might seem inconsequential, but since the booklet originates from Sonic Team, it's seen as an authorative source on the Sonic history. Already, I've seen one Sonic web site (a quite high profile one at that with interviews with SoA staff) that omitted any mention of the SMS Sonic games' European releases. This shows the darker side of Sonic Team. They're trying to revise history. Sonic Team making games for a Nintendo console might be a welcome development, but them trying to cover up their own past to maximize proffits is certainly worrying.

Paranoia ensues...
