as of June this year...microsoft have shipped 3.9million xboxes
PS2 -30.02 million as of May 5
and GC -3.8 millions as of March

so as we can see Microsoft are in 3rd overall in SALES TERMS (doesn't mean the console's bad!)...
i have to say i was expecting GC sales to be higher overall...

nahh on gamespot.com (where i got it from) it says WORLDWIDE...so not just US.

Not to mention the number sold from Australlia, over there it is the number 1 selling console and Microsoft had to increase shipment by 40% as at one point shops had sold out! The console is selling better than people think it is.

2 points:

1. The 3.9 million units of Xbox sold is only the US sales. Another 500,000+ have been sold in Europe and the Xbox is selling neck-a-neck with the PS2 in the UK. Another 200,000 units have been sold in Japan.

2. I posted this in chat about 3 days ago.

GameCube sales figure must be edgining towards 6 Million now.

So the GameCube had almost sold as many as the X-box has in total, before it was even released in the UK? And I was expecting the PS2 to have sold more, considering apprently 60,000 units are sold each week in Japan alone.
