will you need a new memory card to play import games?. also as resident evil is on two discs will there be a problem loading the second disc?

I really don't understand how the freeloader works, but the official site and every game shop around Essex say the beginning of August, i reckon the 2nd as most game things are released on fridays!!!! hope that helps :)

Didn't goblindirect say the same thing about June 20th?

Datel have announced 'Early August' officially and not August 5th. The 5th is a possibility, but don't be disappointed if it's not.

the freeloader data is saved on a memory card, so when you get to disc 2 on resident evil it's already saved on the card.

Datel have confirmed officially that the Action Replay and Freeloader products will be released at the beginning of August (on or around the 5th).

This is the first time that the company have officially announced a release date, and it seems that this time the products will actually be released!


so there you go , they say it's official so it should be , and the freeloader works on ntsc cubes !!! so now i can play pal games , waahhhhooooooo !!!!!

it's highly likely that you'll separate memory cards for both PAL and NTSC formats. So on top on the £20-odd for FreeLoader, expect another £15 for an extra card. And don't assume that Freeloader comes with a card either, as it doesn't. Box-art shows it is merely a GameCube disc.

My assumption is that Resi will be fine - the data taken off the FreeLoader disc at the start will not affect the second disc, as that data will be removed from the GameCube's RAM. That's taking into account that you change the discs without turning off your GameCube.

All my answers are educated guesses - everything to do with Freeloader is pretty much speculation at the moment.
