My internet died! I called Customer service and ?? did some tests and asked me to put in BT test details - I did and it was still dead - I called back and ?? went away to check with his technical Dept, he caled back and said the fault was at his end and I was to re boot the router and all would be well again, it wasnt. any how i went to work and news was filtering through to me that all of our village was off! but wait it gets worse the town 10 miles away was also OFf and all the small exchanges around that town were OFF, yet every ones routers were still showing as in sink. How ever I am just home from work and as you can tell I am now back on line

This means that a large exchange that your exchange connected to had a problem, hence your village and other exchanges around it went off line. You would still be in sync with the equipment at your exchange as this was working correctly. It just didn't have a connection to forward on to.
