Hi all, I am trying out some video editing software to compile some homevideos etc via firewire dv capture. I'm wondering whether to burn the finished product onto dvd or vcd (which ulead moviemaker will allow me to do) - but I'm not sure if either will play back on my PS2. I have the Blaze multiregion disc if that helps. Any assistance gratefully received.
The PS2 will play DVD-R's with ease. You dont even need it to be chipped. I have tried FWS 2nd Gen discs, Verbatim 2nd Gen and also Datasafe Branded 3rd Gen discs.
Obviously need to be chipped to play pirated games but not for dvd-authored home movies etc.

There is a way to reset the code, and it's in the PS2 manual.
PS2 wont play VCD's.
It will play DVD-R's if its been chipped but thats all.

The PS2 will not play Photo Cds, Video CDs, Super Video CDs or Rewriteables, Might play DVDRs though.
Wont play on PS2, but will on a PC and in a lot of DVD players and CDR compatable stereos
