From PlanetXbox.com:

Xbox On Target
Thursday, July 18, 15:36

Japanese hardware sales are always in abundance but North American figures are a whole other beast. Following Microsoft’s fiscal report issued earlier today, the company revealed how Xbox faired during the fiscal year. Revealed in an article from Reuters, the Xbox managed to ship 3.9 million units through the end of June. These figures come as a good news as Microsoft expected to move between 3.5 and 4.0 million units after revising their 4.5 to 6.0 million estimate.

Considering Microsoft was more than able to meet their revised expectations, the fall/winter seasons should be very interesting for Xbox.

Er, discuss.

Or something.

But as things stand, you'd need a couple of ribs and some vertebrae removed. :-)

I wish I was a t*t.

Cos then I'd cuddle myself all day and if I was thirsty, I could suck myself.

You t*t.

All of the Planet websites are part of the GameSpy Daily network, they have sites for all the different platforms and have nothing to gain by lying about the figures.

Also, it was actually Reuters who reported it, and they have nothing to do with consoles at all. Stop being such an ignorant idiot and think before you post.

I had to use WinXP + IE6 at several net cafés in Greece, which was no biggy, except it worried me that several of the stations kept dropping out of the network at random intervals. Apparently it happened since they "upgraded" from 2K.

*shrug*

On the other hand, Athens airport has several completely free Internet stations that run Linux an Xfree86, but they were set up by a complete monkey and were so easy to hack in to. Well, I only got a user account, but it's still worrying.

So they had low expectations to start with hoping that it'll be cool if they broke the 6 million mark and people will think it did well (all companies do it). After realizing they were doing crap they even reduced that and they didn't even break them... heh.

I know not one person who owns an Xbox. I know GC and PS2 owners, but no Xbox owners.
