After my recent experience today, I've felt the need to buy a projector. I was planning of getting a widescreen TV for my bedroom soon, but changed these plans slightly to get a projector. However, cheap projectors only come in at about £500. I would otherwise dismiss the idea, if it wasn't for the fact that it all fits together perfectly...

Recently, we had an extension done to our house, namely, 2 new bedrooms, one of them mine. As yet I haven't had any wallpaper put up, so the walls are merely painted white. The dimensions are roughly 5 metres by 8 meters - not that big, but an ideal size for a projector - longways down the room onto a white wall. There are no obstructions on one of the ends, just a flat white wall (of course, currently covered in posters, but that is easy to change). Originally I wanted a widescreen, as I said, but I've decided against it. Don't get me wrong - saying that I was planning on getting a widescreen doesn't mean I'm a rich ponce, but I've been saving for quite a few months and have about 200 quid (a cheap widescreen is 300).

Saving to get a projector of my own would take for ages - namely, another few months and a well-timed birthday. I've seen some high quality projectors on ebay and what not for about 400-500 quid. However, being the lovely bloke that I am, I've decided to put it to the forums to see if I can get a projector out of anybody.

Don't take me for a cheeky selfish guy, I'm just trying the forums to see if there is anybody out there with a big heart, or maybe just a big wallet :D. Want to give me a projector? Post in here...

Ignore what he said - give me your projector, everybody who has one! Please. No, not him. Nooo. Me. :D

How about, you give us both a projector

Doesn't look like anybody was listening...

I would offer you money, but I have none.

I could offer you discount on a projector at a shop my friend works at, but you don't live anywhere near me.

I should be able to offer you other ideas, but I can't think of any.

I would go for the Widescreen, at least you can play games on it without having to worry about burning the phosphor.
