Darren Aronofsky is set to write and direct this movie based on the popular puzzle classic, Tetris. It will tell the story of a man obsessed by order and organisation, who struggles to cope with the increasingly frantic pace of his life as his drug addiction grows ever worse.
"The game is a metaphor for life, and going out of control for the lead character. Early on it's relatively easy to deal with, he can put everything in it's place as it comes to him, work, relationships, all sorts of things all have a place for this man, but as he does more and more lines, he finds them coming at him ever quicker and he struggles to place them. It gets so bad that you start to wonder whether he's going to be able to sort it all out, or if he's going to lose it altogether" said Aronofsky.
It is thought that Aronofsky will again use similar repetitive images to show how the character is coping after they have worked so well in his previous movies, 'Pi' and 'Requiem for a Dream".
Several actors have expressed an interest in the lead role, including Edward Norton, Jared Leto and Hugh Grant. Upon hearing from Hugh, Aronifsky had the following to say; "Hugh Grant want's to be in this? Tell Hugh that he won't even be allowed to buy a ticket to see my movie."
It is as yet unconfirmed whether the classic Tetris theme will feature in the movie, though if it does it is highly likely to be a far darker reworking of it, rather than the traditional tune.
Hip-Op
A hilarious comedy, thought to be the final movie that the late Tupac worked on. Also starring fellow rappers Ice Cube and Snoop Dogg, it's an action comedy with a difference.
The story tells of a rap group, featuring the three mentioned rap stars, when 2Pac falls down, breaking his hip. What follows is a hilarious rollercoaster ride of a movie as Cube and Snoop attempt to get him to hospital, running into crime lords, and all sorts of other trouble along the way.
The Man Who Couldn't Undress
A biopic of the life of Roland Rivron, the man with one suit.
For many, many years we've asked "Why is that idiot wearing a suit on the beach?" when we've seen him strolling along under a baking sun on many a holiday program.
Now the truth can finally be revealed, based on Roland Rivron's astonishing biography we see that his mother never taught him how, and once she died, he was completely stuck.
Jim Carrey is currently considering taking on the lead role of Rivron, and Dame Judi Dench will play the part of the mother that never taught her little boy to put his own clothes on.
Carry On Aliens
The long awaited 5th instalment of the Alien series sees a new actress taking on the role of Ripley, after Sigourney Weaver demanded too large a fee for the role. Barbara Winsor will now take on the lead, as the aliens finally reach Earth.
The story continues from where the last one left off, with the ship having landed on Earth, only the crew are unaware that another experiment took place, and it's results travel with them.
An alien born from the DNA of Kenneth Williams has finally reached maturity, and bursts from the stomach of a throw-away crew member when they reach the hospital. Following this are 90 action packed minutes in which the aliens go "Oooh Matron" before spitting acid in the faces of victims, and once again it's down to Ripley to save the day. Can she get help from the bloodline of Sid James to help save the day?
Still, nice topic Meka.

I thought he died years ago, after killing his own family

Don't think your timing for this post was too good Meka. Or was it a tribute to him? :-D
