ive noticed some slight circular scratches on the xbox discs, anyone else had this problem?

Neil, this is a console fault- ring MS and they'll replace it. This was also found in a few Japanese Xboxs (that's 60 and NOT all of them for the people who still believe that!), and they were all replaced.
