In my game you play as a new budding musician trying to get to number 1. its an rpg/ music game where your final objective is to become the ultimate superstar, e.g. get married to Billie Piper, Britney Spears,Christina Aguilera etc., have 5 no.1 singles and 1 no.1 album. Before you start you put in your name and the age group you want to appeal to. This is important because the easiest age groups to appeal to have the least money to spend and you have to find a way to appeal to them.
E.G. teenagers: easy to appeal to, little money, attract by going into court cases with your mum, stealing cars and swearing at young women superstars. In my game you use the beatmania/drummania/guitar freeks peripherals and you play in the various cut scenes that happen. My game is totally non - linear, there is no storyline, what happens is totally up to you. To start with you have to get a recording contract. Two of the best ways of doing this is to either camp on a recording studio's doorstep and play till you get a contract or you can work your way up through the nightclub circuit. The real charm of my game to me is depending on how lucky you are you could play on the streets and if you are good and lucky enough you would get one that way as well.
After you have a recording contract the game changes slightly. Now you have 2 meters at the side of your screen, a popularity meter and a publicity meter. If either of these drop to zero its game over as everyone has forgot about you, or hates your guts. Before you can do anything though you need some cash to finance your first single so off you go again. You can do everything you want, go on tour, raid your savings or rob a bank, its up to you. Each of these carries their own risk and the amount of cash availiable.
After making your first no.1 single you can now hob nob with the celebs and this is your first chance to ask out a potential wife, but if youre not successful enough you'll get rejected, dont worry, you can make fun of her on your next single . During the game random events happen connected to the stuff you've been doing. You might be accused of drug taking when you had a party at your fave nightclub for instance. On the pc and dreamcast version you could have a charity concert over the internet for mucho popularity. If anyone knows a game like this please tell me. Thanks :)
