I decided to knock gaming on the head this weekend and do something different. So I rang up a mate on Friday night, arranged to go for drinks and lunch with him, his girlfriend and her friend called Lisa, then went to bed early as I was knackered from work.

We met up late Saturday morning, went for a few drinks and then a meal, saw my mate's new flat, had a few more drinks, discovered that Lisa had the ability to wrap her legs round my neck (handy that), and by 7pm we were all knackered again.

Taking my leave (and Lisa's telephone number), I wondered around town window-shopping, then thought 'Ah to hell with it, I'm off down the casino.' Came out 8 hours of BlackJack later with £448.00 more than I went in with, jumped in a taxi and shot off home to a nice warm bed (cat's have their uses) and woke up, knackered from the cogitative exertions of the night before (two 6's against the dealers 2: split, hit or stand? That one always gets my brains rattling).

Was tempted to have a go on the PS2 after lunchtime but watched Planet of the Apes (naff) and A.I. (great) on DVD instead. I've still got Apocalyse Now Redux to watch (for some reason I've never managed to watch this film all the way through without falling asleep at some point), and I'll probably do that tomorrow night after work.

All in all it was a great weekend, so I figure I should knock gaming on the head more often.

:)

Such a brilliant comment. It was perfect. I loved it... also showed a lot of issues humanity will have to be facing in the next generation.

I drank til the early hours of the morning with mates in some scabby nightclub, carried my mate home threw up and woke up late Saturday and crawled about the house for the rest of the day in my boxers cus I was bad, healed up a litte toward the night and realised I hadn't eaten for ages so ordered a chinese.

Great.

I then did as little as possible for today.

T'was, wish they were all like that, I could retire

She called me on Sunday morning and woke me up after about 5 hours sleep. I now know why men pay for sex. They're not paying for sex, they're paying for the woman to go away afterwards. Still, blonde hair, blue eyes and flexible legs are a great asset so we're meeting up again on Tuesday :).

There's people out there that didn't like this film? Ridiculous. The number of references in that movie to sci-fi stories that I've read in the past 20 years is so immense that I couldn't begin to list them all, the film pays a great tribute to Stanley Kubrik in many ways and on many levels, it's a Spielberg classic (or classique as Ant would say).

Films with perfect endings are SOOOOOOO hard to find, but this is one of them.

My weekend consisted of finsihing off Sonic on the GC sat moring, seeing mates down the dippers(big hills, which you go down on bikes, fell off several times, but still fun) then watched Spider-Man at cinema, went home to bed.

Sunday i went to One Big Sunday, with my g/f and a few mates, got a bit bored near end, went home, watched Snatch and then played on Sonic bit more, watching BB now#! then prob go to bed soon
