... off part of their kiddie image.

Would be to produce (with rare) a game bases on Event Horizon.

would have to change the plot a bit to make it into a 1st person shoot-em-up but it could in theory be scaryer than any residant evil.

Vageu ideas that would make it good would be, not only a life meter but also a sanity meter and a fear meter. Obviously anyone who has seen the movie will understant the sanity and fear meter ideas.

So, as you work your way though the ship and see all the things youd see, your characture would get more scared and sanity would go up when youu see sometihng nasty (like a memory flash from movie).

You could return to your docking ship to sleep and recharge and rechagre your meters (so youd be less scared and more sane). If your characture got too scared he/she would run away and hit in a corner until the meter goes down. or would run screaming to a painful death (depends where you are)

If the sanity meter goes up your characture would get irrational (youd find it a bit harder to control, would see things, shake more and eventuallly go insane and turn into a quivering pile on the floor).

could have a huge amout of guns n gore and violenbce and if it was made well it could be one of the best shooting/horror games.

Also would be nice if it had, say variable endings to the game, so if you end up being only one left alive when you finish you might end up going insane but escaping or dieing to save your freinds or if your good enough noone in your team dies and you all make it out with only a few blood splatters and a nasty memory.

Please excuse spelling and don;t ridicule/make worthless comments. Its an IDEA somthing i think would work. Only constructive replys please.

Resident Evil isn't scary. Sure there's tension and all but it's not scary.

Eternal Darkness is meant to be very big on the sanity idea.

But I haven't watched Event Horizon so I'm not sure if that's how you mean.

a gamecube exclusive one based on event horizon would probably be scaryer.

It would only work it it was made well with the right sounds and visuals and plenty of scary bits you expect and plenty you don't.

First, this should have gone in Prime.

Second, it's a good idea - one that is being put to use in The Thing, which is scheduled for release later in the year on PC, PS2 and Xbox. Based on the events just after the end of the film, you control a bloke in charge of a team, and they have this whol sanity/trust meter thing.

If your people trust you, then they'll do as you say, if they don't, then they'll run away - dropping you both in it. And varying levels in between.
