The first time I played Shenmue (2 anyway) I thought to myself...what a load of crap. It was all graphics, no gameplay! It made 'Monty Mole stars in Moley Christmas' on the ZX Spectrum feel a brilliant play!
But what do you really see in the game? It is 100% linear. You literally have to go arround asking people about the 'day of the incident' and occasionally you'll get a clue. Sometimes A will lead you to B will lead you to C and C will lead you back to A who then 'remembers' something. Complete nonsense- I made text based adventures with more paths through them! After all, there is a 100% preset route, and it's not even hidden.

Sure the arcade is a nice addition, but it's no miniquest Zelda style!

I have saw you write this before and it is your opinion, fair enough, but I still like it.

bollards to that. Although while playing you will be wowed by the graphics and extras, the whole game is most linear rubbish ever- all you do is run around trying to find the next person to talk to.

*cough!* In your opinion. *cough!*
The vibration pack does not need batteries either - There are two slots in the control pad - One for the VMU and the other for the vibration pack!
