'Arsenal today completed the signing of centre half, Pascal Cygan from the French first division side Lille, on a long-term contract for an undisclosed fee.
Cygan (28), was the cornerstone of Lille's defence, helping them to finish fifth in France's top flight last season. His outstanding performances last season in Lille's first ever Champions League campaign have also equipped Pascal with invaluable experience of Europe's premier club competition.'
But seriously. I think another defender is just whay we need. Especialy if we have as many injuries at the back as we did last season.
And Arsene has a good record in signing relative unknowns, who turn out to be pretty good.
He looks a bit like Steve Bould, only a bit more scary.
