have you got any software to play it with ?
i have this problem now , because i messed up our pc , so we had to use the system restore pack , and low and behold , all the software was deleted , so now i cant play dvd's on it ;( you could probably find some freeware stuff on cnet. (cnet is a download site , not illegal , warez , anything lke that)

Have you contacted the manufacturers about that?

I have a DVD-Rom Drive in my PC, but this one was brought to replace the one we got with the PC (which stopped working) and for some reason, my PC won't recognise the facillity to play DVD's on it.

I looked up help on the net, and it said something about some number you need to type in... but I can't find it anywhere!
