There relly is no point to this. When making games SPECIFICALLY for kids then it is understandable. But the games mentioned above are for the older kids and adults as well. Hardcore gamers and people who pay for games with their own money need long games, games that will keep them going for a while.
If Nintendo keeps this up then I'm afraid they'll get a reputation for it. *sigh* t least I can be assured that Resident Evil will last me a long time.

Starfox Adventures is supposed to be pretty long as well...Remember a while back that it could be as long as 60 hours?
Anyway, Nintendo aint the only ones making short games. MGS2 could be completed in under 10 hours and you got loads of other short games on other consoles. Just can remember off the top of my head that Silent Hill 2 and Devil May Cry that can be completed in under 10 hours as well...
I think the reason for Ninty making games shorter is becasue they just cant afford to spend so much time developing each game. Especially with Profits expected to dip in the next year because of the price war with Sony/Microsoft.
