...all this was just fields. Then someone had a dream. To create the gretest forums ever known to man. I remember when it was small boys on the forum, lap-tops for goal-posts. Marvellous. Isn't it? and when the then WWF forum was actually hidden away in the games discussions where newbies couldn't come in and say for the 3 millionth time this week 'wrestling is gay...oiled men groping esach other...etc..'. I remember when Mystique never had anything intelligent to say and a young man called Cong made a hideous number of irrelevant posts but was still annonymous to everyone outside of the WWE forum. I remember when shaneo managed to set a world record for the number of different names he had removed from this place. I DON'T however remember what the point of this post was exactly...but then some thing will never change...

I remember when there were seperate forums for every game, and Fogmaster started the first topic in the "Pokémon Yellow" forum, in which I posted the first reply.

The general look of the board was cheap and un-ordered, but it developed into what it is today...

I remember when this forum was clogged with spam.

Guess I don't have a long memory.

Before my time. By the time I'd gotten here, [email protected] would pop up here and there for the odd comment. Often to tell people off for chatting! Not so "Snuggly" back then! ;-D

Yeah. Newbies were recognised by their writing skills.
Someone who'd just turned up on the site could easily pass for a regular... especially when they accidently pick the same name as an existing one... :-D

I had to do all my blatant GAD attempts at school so I'd have a chance of being picked! :-)

I you sure that's not mis-memorised?

Infact, it was worse back then because there was no Chat room for people to spam so it was all done in the single FoG forum.
Good topics would disappear daily...


Long time ago.
I think that things have changed for the better in most cases.
And all the disadvantages (like spam) are natural side effects to this forum becoming so popular.

Atleast we jave a chat forum to dump it all in nowdays.

Well, we were so worried that our topics wouldn't get in for the GAD prize (after all, there are lots of students here who only go online after 6pm) that we pleaded with the staff to laten the chosing of the prize. Instead they did what you said I think...

*No tags, coloured names or membership gradings

I remember when there was no ranking system. No different coloured names, no top posters list. No FoG chat. When we had FAD and GAD each day. When the Life and Sport forums were all one. When the longest thread in Prime was the main chatting place.
