If you can't wait, like me, buy a ps2. But if you can, buy a Dreamcast then wait and see how the G-cube and X-box end up. And don't worry, I found out MGS2 is coming out on all three consoles.

Probably not yours, as it was posted at the same time as his. He wouldn't have had time to read yours and then post a reply. That Shexyboy message was stupid.
What message??
By the way, I've found out how to make topics (without the shortcut button thing). Try that topic I made about it.
But I cant help but think that the PS2 will be the benchmark for future consoles to follow. The launch titles are not exactly ground breaking, but really the PS2's dominance has yet begun. Some of the future titles are Wowing us at the moment (MGS2, Getaway, ZOE) but come three or four years we will look back at them and think how dated they look. Once developers get use to what PS2 can do that will be when we see the real face of gaming in the future.
If you are lucky enough to get a Playstation 2 this year, good luck to you!! Youve made a wise choice as we have yet to see what it can 'really' do, but hence it shouldnt be too far away.
The Dreamcast is a class console and offers the cheaper alternative. We have seen what the console can do (Shenmue, MSR, Virtua Tennis) and I am sure that there will be plenty more DC games released that will get a whole load better. Also Im hoping it will really take off once the online gaming is seriously underway, as it deserves to be noticed more.
The Game Cube and X-Box once they are released, which as you mentioned is well over a year away will probably improve considerably. But with the PS2 and DC being firmly established maybe even cheaper, Nintendo and Microsoft will have their work cut out to try and lure gamers to their macines. But in saying that Nintendo is bound to succeed as they still know how to make the best games, and Microsoft will have advantage buying their way to success.
Just kiddin, the PS2 is not worth the hype though. Graphics are amazing (for a poor 2nd World citizen like me) , but so does the Dreamcast. If Sega can but up a cristmas fight against Sony , SEGA will survive.
The Dreamcast was THE 2nd generation console last year, at the time it was worth the hype. The grapical power to a console was amazing, the games to come out in the first couple of months were bru-tally amazing, and it was also the first console to go online.
TOPNOTCH
The PS2 graphics and all other stats (see sad lonely person coping up stats to impress other sad lonely people) are almost identical to the DC, maaaaaaaiby a bit better. Sure it has got DVD (ooooooohhhhhhhhh) but so does the DC. OH yeah, its backwards-compatible, ssssooooo. Just get a regular PS.
The Gcube is a cube (why Nintendo, why??) , what a cuul desing??ha ha. You would not catch a MATCHO MAN playing with a CUBE, luckly I'm a short geek who like to comb his hair...
I havent sen many stats, but I do know that N is using smaller cds then the AVERAGE games console. Its about the size of your palm (the cd, ^ig). And you can use the Advance (or something similar to that name) as a controller.
As a final goody to bother reading this I give you 3 wishes, (ESLAF) 1...
