This also happens in Sonic Adventure 2, where if you complete all the stages with an "A" ranking you can unlock and play the first level ["Green Hill Country"] from the original Sonic The Hedgehog on the MegaDrive.
It also occurs in the latest Ecco The Dolphin, where if you take a certain path at a certain point you will stumble upon a MegaDrive-like 2D Ecco The Dolphin level.
I'm not sure if this kind of thing happens in any other recent SEGA games, but it is something that I think should happen more and more - just as a pleasant surprise if nothing else.
Imagine if on the forthcoming Crazy Taxi 3 when in the West Coast city [San Francisco] you drop off a customer at the tennis court and he challenges you to a quick set on Virtua Tennis - that would just be cool; and it would also be very possible as Hitmaker/SEGA both make the Virtua Tennis and the Crazy Taxi games.
I'd like to see more older classic SEGA games making "guest appearances" in the newer SEGA games.
What d'you think? And are there any more instances of this which I don't know about?
Shame i've already got all the old ones with my Mega Drive somwhere or else I may get them.
I'll probably get the 2 Sonic Advance games though - maybe Sonic Advance 2 will link-up with Sonic Adventure??
I'd still like to see Streets of Rage and Haunting back in 3D! :)

Now that would be cool, and very possible.

I remember that game - just!
You had to scare a family out of a house didn't you by being a ghost and doing stuff like smashing plates and appearing as a spook in the dead of night etc.
That was an original game.

I remember that game - Never played it although it did look pretty good!
That was one of the greatest games ever!!
Maybe that could be playable in an arcade in Shenmue 2 or 3 on the X-box??
It's also good to see Toe Jam and Earl make a return at last too.
Anyone remember Haunting???
