If you liked Manchester united and they were playing against Newcastle united you could disallow all of Newcastle’s goals and give out penalties as if you were sharing your sweets with your friends. You could get in the way when it is a cup final or something and they need the goal to win. You could give out 1 hour of stoppage time so they had loads of time to get the goals back. If the ref (you) sends somebody off, you could go to options and have a substitution, say like take Owen off and put the ref on. In half time the ref could add goals on the score sheet without the other team knowing and at the end they think they have won then on the scoreboard they see that they have lost that would be great.
You could stop all the abuse that the players hurl at the ref; you could make the ref fight with the players if the ref made an unfair decision. Maybe you could even pay the ref to make unfair decisions against the other team kind of like a hitman, you pay the hitman to kill but in this game you pay the hitman to cheat. It would be even funnier if the ref had a sword, or even you could chop their heads off instead of a red card.
In the game there is certain limitations, the referee can only kill the player if he gets three red cards. Therefore you have to get six yellow cards to get killed.
You must not get caught offside because the other team gets a goal. You can also get caught left side if you go on the left when the ball is not there you get a red card and the other team gets a goal.
So that was my idea of you being in control of the referee what do you guys think the ref should be able to do?

To add even more depth you could build a reputation that goes on throughout the game and even have to deal with the refs family life as bricks are hurled through the windows of the house. ;-))
Game over would no doubt be when the lynch mobs get hold of you. ;-))
By controlling the referee, you would be able to make all the decisions, but there would have to be some limitations. If you make too many 'bad decisions' then you could lose your job, whereas if you can make these decisions in the right situations, then you could control the game and make the results virtually whatever you like.
A Sim-Ref idea could be a great idea!

He ment if you could control the ref you could send them off for the slightest little tackel.
