It's that time of year again when, for some reason, I have decided to put myself through two hours of pain by swimming 200 lengths (5Km or 3.1 miles) for chairty - this saturday afternoon.

For the second year in a row the chairty chosen by the swimathon people is Marie Curie Cancer Care - a charity that helps people with cancer die at home, rather than in a skanky hospital.

The huge amounts of money that you generous people will donate will help fund more than 2,000 nurses across the UK.

Having said all that, if you don't want to sponsor, then fair enough. But someone who is dying of cancer will think you're an a*se.

*Plus it makes me feel like it was actually worth half killing myself twice a week for the last 6 weeks.

Thanks very much to everyone who sponsored me. I've just swum 200 lengths in 1 hour 35 mins (and 6 seconds). With online and offline sponsorship, you kind people have donated £300 to Marie Curie cancer care.
