I am shocked by this news because the reason that I and many other people use Napster is for free MP3's. I may be wrong but who cares. If you can buy a CD single for £4 in the shops and get it for free off of the internet what are you going to do??? Exactly.
I have the answer to free MP3's. A program the same as Napster and they dont charge you!! The people who run it also believe that they cannot be stopped.

As for Napster itself, there will be ways around the payment thing, and if they shut it down then you could still use it anyway.
