We started off by going to an Indian restaurant, and it was very nice indeed, but because they took so long to serve the food, by the time we had finished it was quite late. Alicia is staying in Camden, which she wasn't too keen on walking back through at that time. So chivalrous as always I accompanied her on the dangerous road back to the door of the building she was staying in, and then to her door..
When inside we played cards. But interestingly.
*censored* at some point during that time a limb that wasn't mine collided with my mouth and chipped my tooth, but it was worth it.
hours later I emerged from her room with a broad grin, which wasn't even wiped off when I found out that it was so late the tube station had closed. In fact the grin even remained in tact when I discovered that the map I had bought in case of just such an eventuality, did not have Camden on it. So I decided that I would walk in a random direction until I found a bus stop that went back to Islington. I found one, but I had missed the last bus, so, as I was in high spirits, I thought I'd walk all the way back to Islington. This was a pretty impressive feat, as my random walking had put me on vaguely the right path, but around the time I found myself walking down non-lit alleys at 2am, I thought I should probably get a black cab.
So I stood there and hailed, and it wasn't till the tenth time that the a cab decided to stop. Anyway, I was quite annoyed that I had walked almost to Islington anyway, and would probably have got there if had kept on walking, but I tipped the guy for being nice and stopping, and because I was happy.
Anyway I'm quite tired now, but life is fun... I haven't decided whether to go and watch Spiderman, which involves a 30 second walk, or watch a poncy French film called "Sur mes Levres" which involves a 20 minute walk. My brain says "poncy french film!", but I think my lazy body's going to win, particularly as it has done twice already :-)
I'm happy...
Poker, followed by Animal Snap, followed by knock-out whist, followed by pontoon... And I won all of them, which is why I had a broad grin, but during snap, my mouth was caught in the flurry of limbs and my tooth was chipped...
Or not, but what was odd, was that some American guy in the next room, spent an hour shouting "I am not gay!" at the top of his voice.
