Yup, you guessed it! Welcome to the thread for the SSBM SR Tourney. We need at least 16 players to go head to head in a *real* game of SSBM in tournament mode...wanna play?

You don't need SSBM, you just need to pick a character, pick a 4 letter name and we'll sort you out. We must have at least 16 players but as SSBM veterans know it can go as high as 64 players! Wouldn't that be great!

So, if you wanna take part, just post your 4 letter name, your chosen character and we'll start the tournament. Scoring?

1 point for a KO
-1 point for being KO'd
-1 point for falling out the arena

Plus in our tournament

5 bonus points for 5 KO's in a match
-5 bonus points for being KO'd 5 times

These points, though, contribute to this tourney bonus only, not the battles.

They are all one-on-one battles as well.

Ganondorf, Falco, Mr G & W or Mewtwo plus another (but I can't think of it :D)

The games will take place with CPU Level 9, and NO human players. Match reports of finals and semis will be posted

Hye, just wanted to tell all the semi-finalists that...

SIR AURON and MICROCHIPS are through to the final!

Which has already been held (last night, no chance to past results). So, who won the whole championship?

Well, CONGRATULATIONS TO SIR AURON (Pikachu) , who beat Microchips (Young Link) 3 KO's to 2, and let me tell you it was close, as in the final seconds Microchips almost got another KO. Here was the KO order...

KO 1 - Pikachu whacked Young Link out of the arena
KO 2 - Pikachu got a sly jolt and took Young Link out .. again!
KO 3 - Young Link fought back with fatal swipes of the sword
KO 4 - Pikachu got revenge, and kicked him into next week!
KO 5 - Young Link discovered violence alas, and kicked Pikachu to hi-heaven

Well, congratulations to Sir Auron, who succeeded in all 4 of his battles, which were

vs Marth, Ness, Link and finally Young Link.

Once again, congratulations to everyone who took part, but especially to Microchips and Sir Auron. And the medals?

Here's your first update of the day! Well I've just completed Round 1 of the SR SSBM Tournament and out of the 16 players the following have been knocked out of the tournament. May I say most of the first round matches were worryingly close!
