As much as we all like to ‘Save the day’ and be the hero. What about a change? What I mean is instead of doing good deeds why not have an ‘Evil’ role in games, you hardly ever get an ‘Evil’ roll in a game, you are always stopping evil. Now why not start ‘Evil’

Now you say “Why would we wont to start evil?” Well it could be a change for one thing and could be fun as another. Take Summnor for instance the role is to beat ‘Evil’ monsters, what if we played the role of the monsters I think that would be a much more entertaining in games.

So I think that the Mummy Returns game one the PS2 is good it lets you take command of the Evil status and the good. Which should be in a variety of games not just to appear in one game then the option to disappear. This option could appear in Red Faction 2 and Summnor 2 but I know for sure it’s not in there :(

Yeah you have got games where you play the ‘Evil’ status such as GTA3 but the objective of the game is not to kill every body in the streets, it’s to kill the Mafia, Yardies etc… and you have the option when your not playing the missions to go on a rampage and kill as many people as you wont.

I don’t think there will ever be a game where your objective would be to kill innocent people that are walking there dog or going to the shopping mall. But there will always be games where you can kill people whiles your not doing the objective of the game or you have completed it. Most people love these games ‘cos they are ‘Evil’ themselves and they love to kill a person or even pretend there killing there enemy.

So I think there should be an option in most games where you can play the ‘Good’ and ‘Evil’ status for more enjoyable gaming.

Thanks for reading Reddy.

Yes, an idea that game developers picked up as long as 10 years ago. There are plenty of games for the budding villain out there, but games where you play the good guy appeal to more people and are easier put together (for the sake of restricting possibility due to virtue as opposed to allowing possibility due to lack thereof) and hence are far more numerous.

You just have to look harder.

Blood Omen?
Blood Omen 2?
Games like Baldur's Gate, where you can play either good or bad. Same for Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight.
Black And White?
Pretty much any RTS game in the C&C/Blizzard vein?

There are so many games out there where you can play the evil role, it's unreal.

Wood, trees, obstruction of vision. I'm sure you know what I mean.

Interesting subject there. If your looking for a game like this then you might be interested in the upcoming PS2 game 'Reign Of Fire'. Its a kinda 3D Command and Conquer where you play as humans trying to defend the world from dragons. But if you like you can play as the evil dragons :D
