I've looked on UK cheats.

The tip Edgy copied from NOM (I bet you REALLY regret that now! ;-D), "beat imperial heist on both day and night", did not work.

NGC magazine told me to steal a Tie Fighter either during the night or day on Imperial Heist. I've stolen the Tie Fighter at night but that didn't work either.

So I tried to steal it by day. Problem is, according to NGC, you need a different approach - you need to cripple the lone Tie Fighter (the one by the communications dish) by shooting it.
I tried Ion Cannon but that didn't work.

If I try to shoot it with my lasers (even if they're not linked), the Tie Blows up in one. The problem might be that I have the advanced laser upgrade.

Does anyone know how I can get the Tie Fighter in my hanger? (I know that it's hardly a useful ship to own, but it's nice for the collection.)

I dunno if you've already figured this one out, but at night (when you use the speeder, not the Y-wing) to get the Tie fighter, there is a pilot who runs out of the building next to it, and you need to shoot him before you can nick the TIE...

Anyway, I finally got my Cube and SR were kind enough to supply my GADs on Saturday, so I've been playing new games all weekend :D

Done and dusted, tie in the hangar.

What I didn't realise was that I had to let it fly off so it could land where I could pick it up.

Now I have a genuine piece of cannon fodder in my hangar! :-)

Tilt, get the new NGC magazine.
It fills you in with all the Rogue Leader secrets you (and I) can't be bothered to sniff out. :-)

Ah! That'll be a piece of cake.

Steal a Tie Fighter?

How does that work then, i've only stolen that Shuttle ting on Imperial Heist. I really need to start playin Rogue Leader again, i've hardly unlocked anything cause my damn memory card wiped itself.

You have to steal the tie fighter during BOTH day and night and complete the mission. You are right the day mission is tackled in a different way, you must shoot the tie fighter TWICE with your fully charged ion cannon, it will then land and you can swap crafts. The tie fighter is then selectable from the hanger in a seperate area at the rear of the millenium falcon.
