So, we begin.....
As we look into the ring we see 21 men and women trying to claim the prize as the undisputed #1 videogame character of recent years. This is a top prize and...oh....we have someone eliminated. It’s Pikachu. He tried to use his lightning attack, but it backfired as it hit Link’s sword. So Pikachu eliminated by his own team member. And as we see Jackie Chan fly into the air he delivers a superb dropkick on Spiderman! Well, we see two of the strongest characters eliminated already! Mario is flung into the ropes and comes back with a punch, punch and kick on Joey! And Joey flies out of the ring. It’s back to the garage for him! We are left with 18 now. Who will win? Well Alex Ferguson and James Bond are double teaming Crash and a flailing leg of Crash has eliminated Donkey Kong! And he’s gone ape! (sorry, had to put that in!) Now, Homer punches the Rock, but the Rock stands there! And now the yellow man is running and has run into Sonic! Homer turns around and there’s Raiden! It’s a bad day for Homer J! And it’s gotten worse as a tranquilliser dart hits Homer’s neck and sends him crashing out. As Rock and Raiden admire their handy work, Mario eliminates The Rock! A favourite is out of his own contest! Rock is mad! And he has tugged at Mario but Mario tries to grab on to another contestant to keep in the ring… its Aragorn he’s taken hold of. Aragorn has sliced off Mario’s arm as the one-armed Italian falls out of the ring and flat on his face. Now, Sonic runs across the ring to deliver a blow to Aragorn but has slipped on the blood and the hedgehog bails out of the ring. What a calamity! Tony Hawk on his board now and, oh god, he flicked it up right into Alex Ferguson’s face. Now we have an angry Scot….. ok an angrier Scot and Ferguson shows some tough love on Hawk and now Ferguson has gone crazy. He’s eliminated Juninho! The little Brazilian had no chance! And there goes Aragorn, his own team member! Now Crash has eliminated Ferguson! There is madness in that Microsoft team. Gates did not plan on this! So we are left with 9! Bond is being double teamed by the Microsoft duo of Hoffman and Chan but here comes Joanna Dark. Bond’s Rare buddy has come to save him and a quick shot in the knee caps of Hoffman sends him out of the Battle Royal and maybe ends his career. As he wimps on the outside, Chan delivers a chop, hops up onto the buckle, bounces on to the ropes and drop kicks Bond!!! Bond is eliminated! But Chan is taken down by a Socom as we see behind him Solid Snake with steady hands gripping the handle of his trusty gun. And he turns to Dark, and there she goes. Shot between the eyes. That heroine is outta here. Now Link and Crash team up against Taxi man BD Joe who stands no chance. His cheesy grin has been wiped clean off his face. Now, we have 4 contestants left, two from Sony, one from Nintendo and one from Microsoft. Crash and Link look to square up as Raiden gets a codec call. BAD MISTAKE! Link, grabs his sword and swipes at Raiden. His codec link to Rose has been cut and, as a ? appears above his head, he is punched by Crash to bring us down to three: Snake, Crash and Link for #1 spot. Tension builds as each enter a staredown. And its Crash to move first, as he rolls at Snake, Ninja comes from nowhere laying a C4 in the middle of the ring! There is no way for Crash to stop and ploughs straight into the bomb! KABOOOM. As the dust settles from the almighty explosion we see Snake and Link left in the ring. Snake wriggles his fingers, Wild West style as link does the same over his sword holder. Both men wait for the first move. No crowd member speaks. All is silent......until ‘ha ha ha ha!’ Look! Up on the titan tron, its Zelda, shes been kindnapped…AGAIN! And its Gannondorf and the Skull Kid in on it together. As Link looks to the tron, pressing against the ropes, Snake draws out his PSG-1 and shoots a tranquilliser at Link. Hearing the sound, we see, in slow-mo, Link turn around and see the dart whistling towards him. With nowhere to go and a love interest to save, he whips out his sword and bats the dart away. Back in normal time, Link advances to Snake. Link thrusts his sword forwards as Snake takes out his high frequency blade and comes back. A sword fight ensues as Snake gets the final blow on Link by stabbing his straight in his hand. The sword drops and Link stumbles into the ropes where he is greeted with a tumble to the floor. In dramatic style, Snake has won the Battle Royal. And the coronation begins. Snake is honoured with the crown as he looks to the Titan Tron. He is greeted with a message from Meryl. This is exactly how he wanted it. Snake is #1. But an English voice? Where is it? Who is it? ITS LIQUID! He has Meryl at gunpoint! How will Snake react…….?
