To me the video game is a cultural form that doesn't try to ape some pre-existing process on to a screen, such as early television and cinema, but to open new windows into the worlds that we don't know or can never experience, such as being a secret agent or her Majesties duty, or snow boarding down a pristine mountain in the alps. These are things I shall never do due to the way my body has chosen to form but video games have opened this world for me. People also overlook the most important reason for video games, they bring people together. Gone are the images of one person huddling round a console at three A.M. in the morning, Now we see groups of friends gathering round the console, in much the same manner as we used to gather around the monopoly board. The next major advance in gaming will be when we can see and interact with others from around the world with no language barrier as then we shall have achieved gaming nirvana.

Actually, I go and irradicate terrorists in the morning, while skiing down the side of a mountain after I made love to the beautiful Russian agent who lives at the top of the mountain in a cottage.

Or was that The Spy Who Loved Me? I don't know...
