Not sure how much weight it carries, but it's and interesting thought...

The computer/console thing is very recent - the last 2 weeks or so.

I think YABASIC will have been planned for the UK for some time, as it takes more than a couple of weeks to create a programming language!

Even so, it has already been said that it only allows rudimentary use of 3D, so I never was expecting that much from it.

Should be fun to play around with, though.

Sony only made it so the PS2 could be classed as a computer instead of console so they could skip £6 of Tax. Don't expect anything too spectacular...

For more info on the demo disc check out the Latest OPM mag, the one with Lara on the front!

There also might be more info in the Official Playstation 2 mag which comes out the friday with a FREE demo disc :-)

YaBASIC is going to be on the Demo disc which comes with the PS2. Its a newer version of BASIC which you used to use to program Spectrums and C64 :-) (ah those were the days!)

Sony dont NEED to release a keyboard. YABASIC and any game that wished it can use ANY USB Keyboard. They cost about £30 upwards and just plug straight into the SB ports.

I don't know what YABASIC is like but if it's anything like BASIC, dont expect to be doing your own version of Tekken any time soon!

I think November is going to take longer to pass than January to October did!

Damo... programming anything will (probably) be a nightmare until they release a keyboard! Unless, of course, it utilitses an i-Link/USB connection for the machine to be plugged into a PC.
