Just to expand on what Edgy said, you can get one from Game for £9.99, and it lets you use a Playstation 2 controller on Gamecube. Why you ask? Because it's cheaper than buying another GC controller!

If you really want it, Electronics Boutique/Game sell their own versions.
I suppose it could be useful for PS2 conversions like SSX tricky and THPS3.
