I saw this trailer last week, when someone had managed to sneek it onto the net, although it was in poorer quality than the Original-Which might I add, was released in glorious Full screen-DVD quality form the other day.
As for what I think of the trailer, there's a lot I can say and of course that 'it is' genuinely incredible!
For Tolkien/Lord of the Rings enthusiasts, we are treated to clips we have been waiting for, in particular Sméagol/Gollum making an appearence, seeing him and the general shape New-Line has made of his body.
We hear Sméagol's little fit of rage, as he calls and sneaks upon a rock for his "Precioussss" with all too familiar lines being heard such as a rather 'Hate filled' one-liner but wonderful- "The Thieffssess, THEY! STOLE IT-My Preciiousss!!! and..... WE.. WANTSSS...... ITT!!!"
Heh Heh, truly wonderful.
On the Trailer we are shown what to expect of the effects and famous scenes too, hordes of Battle-Clad Orcs ready for Battle looks amazing.
We are treated to scenes of Fangorn Wood, Gandalf makes an appearance (Surprisingly in the trailer) as many Tolkien fans thought they would keep his return a secret to the many people who know nothing of the Books.
Clad in all- white, now head of the Order, Gandalf Looks true to form, reminiscent of Saruman as described in the book itself! Good stuff Mr.Jackson!.
The One- liner at the end, although straying a little from the book like the FOTR Film before it, would really thump the excitement into you, we see a baffled Legolas, Aragorn and Gimli as their weapons are rendered useless after being startled at the Luminous by-stander using his wizardry- "I Come Back to you now, at the turn of the tide!" is what we are left with, screen fading black with the eerie music slowly dying out, then the trailer ends.
Wow.
Trust me, this Film will be the one to watch out for, watch this December 18th as the World and Film Critics will go crazy with awe.
This 'is' the One film, to rule them all.
That is until December 2003, when we could see it toppled by the sequel- The Return of the King.
:P
