I've had a stroke of genius what about an RPG for the dreamcast/PC/PS2?? I know there are loads out, but what about one for the football fans?? Listen to this you start the game and chose/create a footballer to play as. Then next day its training. Like Libero Grande you perform freekicks and passes to teamates. The better you do the more chance you have of playing in the Saturday match. I would like to see the matches based on the Libero Grande style, but with real players and real teams. You could have scenarios like rifts between players, managers, transfers (including you if your performance is poor), tabloid rumours, injuries and loads more. I see it being played like a solid RPG. From the coaching field to matches and then maybe you feel your performance is sagging due to the club you are with, so its off to the managers office you go to ask for a transfer. All this plus the chance to be a team captain, play in Europe, take part in friendlies and earn bonuses by scoring the best goal the crowd have ever seen. I have always wanted a game like this with great graphics and excellent gameplay. Think of it as an adventure with games of football inbetween and you're on the right track.

PS. Please tell me what you think of this idea

Actually....that DOES appeal to me. Being an avid RPG fan I never could get into the ISS's and the FIFA's because they were more team orientated. (Still, good for a laugh with your mates though).
To actually be in control of one player, and train that player and guide his/her destiny, that is a unique idea that appeals to the roleplay fanatic in me. Would this mean it could be a first person footie game as well? If that could be done, I'd buy it as soon as it was released.
