No, don't just buy another joypad. I was in my local shop for local gamers yesterday, thinking about buying Frequency, but it was pricey compared to SR. So I had a little look around. I found Devil May Cry at a knock down price so got that, and then wondered what to do with my last £15.

Cheepio memory card? Nah. I've got nearly 20 PS2 games already and the one memory card I've got is only half full already with saved games.

Cheepio perpheral? The joypad I've got serves all my needs already.

So I browsed and browsed, got to the end of the 2nd-hand PS2 shelves, and lo and behold, the PSX rack started. Literally hundreds of PSX games from £4.99 upwards. When I got my PS2 the PSX went next door to my nephew and niece so my PSX collection needed restoring somewhat.

And on the PSX rack I found a WEALTH of games that for some reason just faded out of memory when the PS2 was launched. TOCA World Touring Cars was there so I snapped that up. Driver was there so I snapped that up too. Suikoden I and Suikoden II were sold out, but Final Fantasy VII, VIII and IX were all available for £9.99 (new). There's just too many top titles there to list, but I'm going back in two weeks' time armed with two weeks' pay to see what else I can pick up. MGS maybe, Grandia, Deathtrap Dungeon, Syphon Filter, Worms, Crash Bandicoot; there's simply loads of great gameplay out there at bargain prices.

So my advice to those of you with a PS2 and only PS2 games to go with it, is go retro a little, grab some PSX games and pop them in your PS2.

Beware!!! Do not play ancient PSX games like the Die Hard trilogy.

I was playing it before on my PS2 and my eyes couldn't cope. It was a disgrace! However, the recent Playstation games are alright, but still they're not worth occupying my time on a PS2!

I think it depends on which model PS2 you own. Some contain PSOne hardware, some are PSOne compatible, and the latest batch uses a PSOne emulator (which I think might lend a few graphical improvements). Don't quote me on that though, cos I'm not entirely sure...

Mos definitely, PSone stuff shouldn't be overlooked by PS2 owners. I bought myself a huge PS0ne compatible arcade stick for my PS2, and being a beat 'em up addict, have invested in: Bloody Roar 2, Rival Schools, Street Fighter Collection 2, X-Men Mutant Academy and Shaolin (all 5 titles must have come in at about £30!). With stuff like 2d beat' em ups, they may as well be ol skool style anyway.

Plus don't forget 2 essential new PSOne releases. Bishi Bashi for a tenner looks like a good wheeze, and I cannot wait for Metal Slug X to make an appearance: simply the BEST 2d platformer thing ever.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
Wonderful...
... and so easy-to-use even for a technophobe like me. I had my website up in a couple of hours. Thank you.
