The demo doesn't really do it much justice. It has some excellent game modes. Like I said, you'll get the most out of it with other players.
i doubt i'll get it cos i wasn't very impressed by the demo...an it doesn't seem as though it will have that long a lastability...
Crash is excellent. :-) As you earn extra tracks in multiplayer and arcade, you can try out different games on them such as team elimination, hunter (a painful game of tag) and free for all. The stunt park is fun too - you can jump through hoops and generally roll car around for points. :-)
I think you'll get the most out of the game when you have another person to enjoy it with you. Me and my cousin have have some right laughs - even saved a replay cause it was so good to watch. :-)

Not sure about a mouse. But I think the JP game is due before Christmas - I think around October/November time. :-) Looks a good game from what I read about it.
