Welcome to SRW Free-fall. The following match will be for the SRW Light Heavyweight championship and will be between the defending champion, Essa Rios (Allardini) and the Hurricane (RM18). In recent weeks Essa Rios has joined the Latino World Order, will this affect the match.

--------------------------------

Backstage before the match Essa Rios and Chavo Guerrero Jnr (MikeAll) are seen talking, suddenly the Hurricane comes swinging into view. Chavo looks at Hurricane pats Essa on the back and walks away.

Hurricane: "Citizen Rios you're the Light Heavyweight champion, you've proven how good you are but you hang around with those Guerreros, whatsupwidat?"

Essa mutters something in Spanish and walks off.

--------------------------------

"Stand back there's a Hurricane coming through..." The arena flashes green and black as the Hurricane walks down to the ring. The Hurricane climbs through the ropes and mounts the turnbuckle to please his adoring fans. As he takes his cape off Essa Rios' music hits. Essa struts down the ramp but he's not alone as Chavo Guerrero Jnr is accompanying him to the ring.

Chavo and Essa talk animatedly outside the ring before Essa slides into the ring. The bell rings to get the match underway. Essa and the Hurricane circle each other in the ring eyeing each other up. The Hurricane goes to lock up but Essa slides through his legs. The Hurricane spins round and eventually the lock up. Essa then gains the advantage and puts the Hurricane into a headlock, but Hurricane pushes Essa off and into the ropes. As he returns the Hurricane knocks Essa down with a shoulder block. Essa gets straight back up but the Hurricane immediately scoops him up and body slams him down. Again Essa is straight back up and the Hurricane goes to whip him into the ropes but Essa reverses and catches the Hurricane in a sleeper hold. The Hurricane tries to fight out of it but Essa's grip is too strong. Gradually the attempts to free himself grow weaker.

The ref lifts the Hurricane's arm up and drops it and it falls. He tries it again and again it falls. One more time and the match is over. He lifts his arm and the Hurricane (RM18) keeps it up. Chavo (MikeAll) hits the side of the ring in annoyance. The Hurricane starts to fight back with some elbows and manages to break the hold and whip Essa (Allardini) into the ropes and executes an arm drag as he returns and hits another one as soon as Essa gets back to his feet and another one. This time Essa stays down and the Hurricane goes up to the top rope. He waits until Essa stands up but as soon as he does Essa runs over to the Hurricane and punches him in the stomach. He climbs up the turnbuckle and hits a huge northern lights suplex throw off the top rope. What impact!

That move took quite a bit out of Essa but not as much as it took out of the Hurricane so Essa crawls over to make the first cover of the match...

1..2..

Kick out at the last minute. Essa is angry and shouts at the referee in Spanish. He puts this behind him and picks up the Hurricane and lifts him up in a suplex position and then changes his momentum and slams him down face first into the mat! That must have hurt. Essa follows up by vicously stamping on the Hurricane's back. Eventually the Hurricane manages to get to his feet but Essa Rios is unrelenting and sets him up for a powerbomb. As he lifts the Hurricane onto his shoulders the Hurricane grabs his opponents neck and hits a swinging DDT. What a reversal!

Essa Rios seems to be really hurting so the Hurricane again heads for the top rope. This time when Essa gets to his feet the Hurricane reacts quick enough and hits a cross body on Essa! The Hurricane stays on top for the pin...

1..2..

This time Essa kicks out. Unlike Essa, the Hurricane does not complain to the ref. Instead he goes straight back to work on Essa and whips him into the ropes but Essa reverses and goes for a back body drop but the Hurricane spots this and hits a swinging neckbreaker. This annoys Essa more than it hurts him and he rolls through the ropes to the outside. The Hurricane follows him but Essa immediately slides back into the ring. The Hurricane follows him through again but Essa stamps on him as he slides through. Essa runs towards the ropes, as he does this the Hurricane gets up and runs towards him. Essa leaps over the Hurricane and executes a drop toe hold on th Hurricane when he comes back off the ropes. Then suprisingly he performs a camel clutch on the Hurricane. An uncharacteristic move by Essa Rios but it seems to be effective as the Hurricane is grimacing with pain as Essa wrenches his neck and back.

The referee asks the Hurricane (RM18) if he wants to tap but he refuses. Instead he waves his arms about searching for the ropes. He's just inches away.... he stretches... just a bit further... and he reaches the ropes and the ref breaks the hold. It's undoubtedly hurt the Hurricane but he's still in this match. Essa (Allardini) is relentless and picks the Hurricane up and whips him into the corner. He then lifts him up onto the turnbuckle, climbs up himself and hit's a hurracanrana off the top rope! That's got to be it for this match and Essa goes for the pin.

1..2..

The Hurricane gets his shoulder up. Essa is livid and Chavo (MikeAll) is thumping the apron on the outside. Essa can't believe the Hurricane kicked out and goes for another pin.

1..2..

Another near fall, Essa can't believe it. This time Essa picks the Hurricane up, pushes him into the ropes for momentum and hits a huge powerslam. Essa signals for the moonsault jumps up onto the turnbuckle. He executes a massive MOONSAULT but the Hurricane gets his knees up. Essa's chest went straight into the knees of the green superhero. Both men are down in the middle of the ring so the referee begins his count.

1..2..3..4..5..6.. both men begin to stir 7..8..9.. Essa Rios begins to drag himself up on the ropes while the Hurricane drags himself up on the turnbuckle. The Hurricane groggily climbs the turnbuckle while Essa Rios leans on the ropes. Essa looks up too the Hurricane but it's too late and the Hurricane hits the FLYING NECKBREAKER. The Hurricane celebrates when he should be going for the pin and Chavo drags Essa out of the ring and tries to revive him. The Hurricane turns to look where his opponents and then looks angrily at Chavo and Essa. He then puts on his cape and climbs to the top rope...

CROSS-BODY! He took down both Chavo and Essa. The impact also hurt the Hurricane and again the referee begins to count.

1..2..3..4..5.. the Hurricane begins to stand 6..7..8.. he picks up Essa and slides him into the ring 9.. and then follows him in and goes for the pin.

1..2..3

No the referee saw Essa's foot on the rope, the match continues. The Hurricane (RM18) gives the referee a quizzical look and stands up and beckons for Essa to stand up. The crowd cheer in anticipation. Essa Rios (Allardini) slowly begins to drag himself up on the ropes. He turns around and the Hurricane goes for a superkick but Essa ducks and then hits the Hurricane with a German suplex and bridges for the pin...

1..2..

Yet another near fall. Essa has had enough and shouts at the referee careful not to lay a hand on him. The ref backs into a corner while Essa gets in his face. The Hurricane is back on his feet and sees Essa in the corner but no the referee. He runs at Essa and dropkicks him, crushing the referee between Essa and the turnbuckle. The Hurricane picks up Essa and sets him up for the Eye of the Hurricane but Chavo Guerrero Jnr has come running in. The Hurricane drops Essa and grabs Chavo by the throat. Could we see a chokeslam? Essa gets up and tries to stop this but the Hurricane grabs his throat with his other hand. Surely not a double chokeslam?

No, Essa and Chavo manage to simeltaneously kick the Hurricane in the stomach and then execute a DOUBLE DDT! Chavo leaves the ring knowing he's probably done enough. Essa is still continuing and picks up the Hurricane and underhooks his arms and attempts to suplex him but the Hurricane manages to summon up his super strength and lift Essa into an inverted vertebreaker position but Essa uses the momentum to roll through into a sunset flip. There's no one there to make the count as the referee is still down. Essa lets go of the Hurricane and tries to drag the ref to his feet. While he's doing this the Hurricane grabs Essa's leg and rolls him up.

1..2..

Essa kicks out, his attempts to revive the ref almost cost him the match. The Hurricane picks Essa up but Essa hits him with a low blow allowing him time to recover.

Suddenly Billy Kidman's (Figo) music hits and the crowd go crazy. Chavo runs up the ramp to meet him but Kidman hits him with a spinebuster. Essa hangs over the apron shouting at Kidman who's just standing on the apron smiling. The Hurricane takes advantage of this sneaks up behind Essa, lifts him up and... VERTEBEAKER!!! The Hurricane goes for the pin this must be over...

1..2..3

...and it is. The winner and new SRW light-heavyweight champion is... the Hurricane (RM18).

-------------------------------

Congratulations to the Hurricane (RM18) but what has Billy Kidman (Figo) got to do with this?

Wow, fantastic match and brilliant use of thr Cruiserweights. I used my special 'method' or reading matches and it worked very well, at times I definitely thought someone had won, and I wasn't even sure if Hurricane would win with the Vertebreaker. My only tip would be to put the forum user's name is brackets more often.
Builds up another feud for after Free-Fall, excellent stuff.

Congrats to RM18, maybe he can begin his first long title run, at least longer than a few seconds. {:)

Essa Rios didn't have that title long. The LWO has taken a knock very early on in it's conception. Not surprising that a superhero was the one to knock it down.
