Forgive my cynicism but, what's the point anymore? Well, I'm still interested in DNF, but there seems to be only a couple of possibilities for the game now:

The game is released and is awfull.
The game is released and is blindingly amazing.
The game is cancelled.

Unfortuanatly, my sencibleness says the first, but I hope it is the second. Or it could be average, like Diakatana was. So basically the possibilities are exactly the same as they've always been. DNF SHOULD be great, but graphically may suck a little because of the old engine. The gameplay should be amazing though. I think them blokes are doing a "Max Payne" not letting a peep out, then getting released suddenly, blinding us with loveliness...or suckitude. Only this, will probably be longer.

Perhaps Duke Nukem Forever is actually just a big practical joke on 3D Realms part. In three years time they'll leap out of their Texan hovel and shout "Ha-ha! You believed us! You're stooopid." And then they'll get down to some work, after the longest coffee break in history.

Last time I saw anything about it was back in my PC gaming days before I got my N64 which must be about 4 years ago, I got a video clip of it on the front of a magazine and I must say it looked the nuts. It's also planned for the Gamecube but other than announcing it there has been no news since, then again Daikatana for some reason came out on the N64 and look what happened to that..

Last time I'd read about it was over 5 years ago.

Back then, people were still impressed by Duke Nukem 3D (which did seem very good at it's time...)

They should give the game the 'most ironic name in computer gaming history' award, I mean it's called duke nukem forever, and it's taking forever for the damn thing to be released.

I lost interest in the game a while back, 3Drealms handling of the project is a joke "It'll be finished when it's finished" has been their excuse the entire time for the games development. It's wearing a bit bloody thin now, and I'm sick of this media blackout nonsense.

I saw a video of the game last year, and it looked amazing, the graphics, the levels, the voice over's, and it also looked like the game was pretty far ahead in it's development. But sinse then nothing. No new screenshots, movies or news about the game.

I don't care anymore, because It doesn't look as if the games going to be released in the near future. All I can say id the developers better hurry up before doom3, quake4 and unreal2 are released, because they would probably prove to be too much competition for the title. Their also three games I'm looking more forward to than DNF.
