Read this book.

It's written by Chuck 'Fight' Club Palahuniak, which should give you an idea of what it's like. Original, wildly clever, and most importantly thought-provoking.

About a model who, similer to a certain 'Narrator', is your average by-product of modern life. She's self obsessed, amazingly messed up, and gets her chin shot off rendering her mute.

Unfortunatly, I can't say much more than that without spoiling the story. The narrative jumps around loads - all focused on one character, but in different time periods. Surprisingly, it doesn't get confusing.

The writing is self-styled - think Selby with more speech marks and more paragraphs. It's a bit hard to get into at the start, but once you get going you'll find it really enhances the whole experiance.

It is very sexual at times (including a very nice description of 'felching'), and it left me needing a fag to get to sleep.

In a nutshell - Fantastic, in a Requiem For A Dream way.

The book is not as good as the movie, for once.

Don't read Fight Club. Read this.
