The Sony forum is absolutely drenched in Grand Theft Auto 3 topics. I'm sure there is a topic saying what I'm about to say here, but since I can't be bothered spending an hour checking all the previous topics, I'm just going to post -

We all know now that GTA3 Miami is going to be coming out. Well, we also know about the supposed 'last mission' which was cut from the first game, and about the mysterious blocked off tunnels in Shoreside Vale.

Well, I knew that there was a 'hidden city' for a long time. My mate said he found it, and I kind of believed him. It was only by fluke that I stumbled upon this hidden city. Its not actually a hidden city, it is completely devoid of clipping, and its in exactly the place which would have made complete sense to link to via the tunnels.

I started by grabbing the Dodo, and flying all the way around Liberty City, then back up and over the dam. Right round to the end of the dam and through the hill at the end. There, I saw some buildings and road which looked as though it was a small extra part of GTA3, linked via those tunnels. Worked perfectly, and they are there.

I'm only slightly annoyed that it was taken out of the main game. Rumours abound, my best guess is the lack of time, although scrapping the 'last mission' is fine by me as long as we could have still gone through the tunnel. Oh well.

So that is my very short story of how I found a 'hidden city'. Oh, and then I kind of got stuck in a blur of colours then ended up in one of the tunnels beneath Liberty City. In a plane.

It will probably be the same character but just telling a different story about him in the 70's, or whenever it is set.

Cool all this Darkel stuff again. Oh and apparently they took all the Darkel missions out because like KR said they were to do with flying big planes and after sept 11 they took them out in sympathy. Still the new ones meant to have plane missions in, but it wont continue on from GTA3 because it's meant to be set in the 70's. However we may get some background info on Donald Love from when he was a kid. You never know, you could be playing as the father of the character in GTA3, or even you may play the game through the years up until 2003 and it could follow on. Who knows? Rockstar of course!

They should have at least finished their game off, especially for the fans. Oh, and kudos for finding the hidden city. I only heard about it last week in Powerstation.

yeh that city is from the main beginning sequence where it shows you the bank robbery and where you get shot by your ex girlfriend. the tramp called Darkel was meant to give you a mission where you fly an hijacked plane into the football stadium, that explains why the stadium aint used and where so many of the missions dont fit together near the end.

Continue this excellent work...
Brilliant! As usual the careful and intuitive production that Freeola puts into everything it sets out to do, I am delighted.
Wonderful...
... and so easy-to-use even for a technophobe like me. I had my website up in a couple of hours. Thank you.
