I know this is similar to Aliboy's topic so sorry about that!

I am a fan of the F1 games (most anyway) but like most other people I get bored of getting the same game released every year. Fair enough it has updated Drivers and Teams but lets face it, thats about your lot.
Now if there was a Simulation from the point of view of a Technical Director or Strategist or one of the other important characters within formula one, that would be a different story.
Althought this will probably only appeal to real hardcore F1 fans there are a lot.
Imagine having the option to become Ross Brawn for the day, telling Michael Shumacher what to do and making all the important and crucial decisions during the race or choosing who to give contracts to and how much each driver should be paid.
You should be allowed to take control of one particular team during the season and see the differences between them to get an idea of what it is actually like for real teams. Putting drivers through tests before they are allowed to take part in races could make the games lifespan last longer and budgeting for the likes of fuel, tyres and car parts.
But I think you would have to still have the option to drive the cars because whats the point of a racing game without racing in it.
So before you start a race you could choose who you wanted to be in the race giving you complete control over the game....anyway this is just the basics of an idea I had if anyone has other ideas they could put to use in a formula one game post it here please!
