Will first person shooters ever go out of fashion? I think not! First person shooters are amazing and will always rule supreme. What is your best first person shooter? Mine is Perfect Dark for the N64 without a doubt, and i'm a playstation fan. It took a friend to introduce me to latest in firt person shooting technology. My best was medal of honour for the playstation. One really amazing first person shooter is half life, it came out 2 years ago and it's still one of the best, in my opinian the only game to rival it is Pefect Dark. Goldeneye for the n64 was originally the top shot. Soon EA are bringing out the Goldeneye, Perfect Dark sequel known only as the World is Not Enough. Rare may not be the makers but as far as i'm concerned it's definately the sequel.
Soon the Playstation 2 will hit the shelfs, and Unreal Tournement and Timesplitters will be coming out and are set to storm the First Person Shooter chart, being the first of their kind to even pose a threat to the amazing Perfect Dark. Rare have let it out thet Timesplitters will have a level editor which as far as i'm concerned is the best thing a first person shooter could have.
Medal of honour and the World is not Enough will come out by christmas, but strangely not for the ps2 or gamecube but for the N64 and playstation, but I believe they will still be amazing games. This is what I think the charts will be by 2002.

First Person Shooters:

1. Perfect Dark 2
2. Half life 2
3. Timesplitters
4. Unreal Tournement
5. Alien vs Predator 2

I myself actually prefer third-person shoot 'em ups. I think I just prefer the way I control the character and the camera angles you get. It is also why my two favourite games on the PSX are Metal Gear Solid and Syphon Filter 2.
