That doesn't make it ok to just forget about stopping the other team scoring though. What would have happened had they been humiliated by Costa Rica just because of lazyness

When Roberto Carlos and Cafu decided they would try and play further up field than Ronaldo, Rivaldo and Ronaldinho, which I've seen them do quite a few times this World Cup.
:D
Brazils defence used to be quite good before they brought Roberto Carlos and Cafu into the team. Neither is that good at defending and effectively means that they only play with 2 at the back.
Also, Edmilson was rubbish in defence for them in the first game yet in the next scored a flying volley showing that he should perhaps be a striker.
Brazil's defense used to be much more solid, I don't know when it all went pear-shaped!
Young children who grow up in Brazil only want to be attackers, score goals and show their tricks whereas in Italy, youngsters are proud to defend or become defenders.
This is why I am so suprised the Italians got knocked out as they have such quality all over the park.

This is because the Brazilians come to matches against low-rated teams with a poor attitude thinking it's an all win situation.
They seem to be approaching the England match with the same attitude, so maybe England can surprise them!
What am I thinking?
Oh yeah, England V Denmark!
Costa rica scored 2 and had 19 shots ON goal
