Best song they're done, and surprises me to learn Liam wrote it.
Only 2:06 with a hammond organ playing, mellatron and acoustic guitar but it is, for me, the "nicest" thing they've done.
"Talking to the songbird yesterday
Flew into the past now find a way
She's a little violet in my mind
Singing songs I love to pass the time"
Excellent.
"She is love" is a bit tacky, but Noel saves it with his vocals.
Not a bad album at all.
That's what I thought first but then I realised it has quite a few good songs.
Gas Panic is quality, like you say.
Where did it all go wrong? is absolutely brilliant!
Roll it Over is pretty good.
Go Let it Out isn't bad.
Sunday Morning Call is great.
And F***in' in the bushes is good too (although probably just because it was in Snatch :-D)
Anyway, I've just watched 2 hours of Muse. Loads of Live stuff and basically every video they have released. Plus some interview bits with them. Matt Bellamy's red hair rules! I want that! However, at another point, he had some stupid gold thing on his head and he looked a tw@t. Oh well, no one can be cool all the time. Except for me.
Standing On The Shoulders of Giants is ***. Gas Panic rocks.
I'd say What's the Story is their best album. Definitely Maybe is great too, probably my second favourite, with Be Here Now and Heathen Chemistry third. Standing on the Shoulders of Giants is much of an album but it has a few absolutely brilliant songs. But just a few. Masterplan is the same. A few great ones, but overall nothing on their other albums.
Songbird is a really good song, as is Little by Little, The Hindu Times and Stop Crying Your Heart Out. These are the four songs that I've heard more than once, all the other seem good though. It will be a good album, hopefully they'll play most of Heathen Chemistry in London.
Such us Noel commenting on lyrics:
" The Ice Age is not fookin coming you c**k "
hoho
Songs aren't bad
I've never been a big fan of them, prefer the ones Noel sings on but this one is more mellow with a lot of slower, softer songs.
"Hung in a bad place" is typical pub-rock rubbish but Little by Little is class.
I cant remember the rest off hand, I'll have a listen tonight
A comment on an Oasis song 5 years ago would have been a very popular thread.
Anyway, Goatboy, where does the album sit, in comparison to their others, in your opinion?
