1) Mercury Rev - heard some of it and it intrigued me!
2) That music track used on the Matrix and that Murphys ad - 'Theres a Storm Brewing'
3) Daydream - wierd piece of music, about flowers for a couple of hours, or summat like that.

How many albums are there? They seem to of gone on and on and on!


I have Adore, Gish, Machina, Siamese Dream (THE BEST ALBUM EVER!), and Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness - Pretty good, seeing as I only started listening a few months back....

I saw the video for Clubbed to death on MTV Dance about a month ago, and it said that It was going to be a big summer hit this year.

I love the smashing pumpkins, I have got all their albulms. The DVD they released last year is really good for an insite into all of thier vids

The Matrix track you're talking about isn't Rage Against The Machine - Wake Up, is it? Thats the only track I know from The Matrix.

1) Mercury Rev are a very whiny, yet very interesting American band. Most of their songs are weird, melody driven ditties. Think strange instruments like the saw, and the ocarina. I find their music quite relaxing, and it's good stuff to nod off to. However, the singer really does have a dreadful voice, but it suits the music quite well.

I'd suggest buying Deserter's Songs as your first foray into Mercury Rev.
